SEMA The Lexus RC 350 F Sport

The Lexus RC F hasn’t been around for long, but tuners are already beginning to use it as a blank canvas for their crazy creations. This year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas played host to three tuned coupes, each with its own take on Lexus’ latest creation.

The first tuner to take on the RC Coupe was Gordon Ting/Beyond Marketing, who has fitted the Lexus with a custom Rocket Bunny wide body kit designed by TRA-Kyoto. A set of custom designed 19-inch Enkei 6666 wheels fill the wide bodykit’s huge wheel arches, wrapped in Toyo 888 tires measuring 265/30 up front and 325/30 at the back.
A Brembo braking kit helps keep the RC F's power in check
Hiding behind the 19-inch wheels are brakes by Brembo, with six piston monoblock calipers and 380 mm two-piece discs at the front, and four piston calipers with two-piece 345 mm rear discs.
The whole package sits lower than the standard RC 350, thanks to KW Suspension coilovers and a lift system.
Under the bonnet, changes to the RC 350’s engine are minimal – a prototype GReddy Supreme SP exhaust system helps the car’s V6 breathe more easily, but beyond that the only change is a move to Motul engine oil.
Inside, Bride race seats and Takata racing harnesses replace the car’s front seats and conventional belts.
As well as taking on the RC 350, Gordon Ting/Beyond Marketing has also had its way with the V8-powered, range-topping RC F. The RC F has been fitted with a custom Evasive Motorsports front lip, splitter and side skirts, while its 20-inch Yokohama Advan wheels are wrapped in 255/30 Yokohama Advan Sport tires up front and 285/30 Advan Sports at the rear.
The widebody kit grants the RC 350 with a strong presence on the road
Where the tuned RC 350 concept remained largely unchanged under the bonnet, the RC F’s V8 has undergone larger changes. As well as a new GReddy exhaust system, the RC F is also fitted with a GReddy intake kit and Nitrous Express 100-shot wet Nitrous kit.
To help stop the powered-up RC F falling apart in the corners, Gordon Ting/Beyond Marketing has fitted the Coupe with Tein Sport Coilovers and chassis reinforcement including custom front and rear tower bars.
Front brakes are handled by Brembo, with six piston front calipers clamping on two-piece 405 mm front discs, while rear two piece 345 mm discs are grabbed by OEM Lexus Calipers.
Inside, the RC F’s interior is upgraded with reclinable Sparco carbon fiber seats.
The final RC F concept will be familiar to people who follow Lexus USA on Instagram, who have been able to follow the build progress every step of the way on their phones and tablets.
The Lexus RC F Insta-Built's body is finished in a special shade of Seafoam
In its finished form, the Insta-Built Lexus RC F by Auto Salon is fitted with a Lexon bodykit, finished in an eyecatching shade of Seafoam paint from Oracle. The bodykit is coupled with 20-inch VPS forged wheels, wrapped in Nitto Invo tires measuring 255/30 up front and 285/30 at the rear.
A Brembo GT brake system hides behind the 20-inch wheels, and the whole package is lowered by a set of RSR coilovers. Performance boosts come from a new N1 Evolution-X and Apex exhaust system and an Apex intake, while the RC F’s interior is fitted out with Sabelt SPS bucket seats and custom Seafoam trim inserts and paneling.
All three cars were on display at SEMA alongside a GT3 Concept for the RC F.
